According to data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as of the week ending on August 5th, speculators in the natural gas market reduced their net long positions by 12,941 contracts across four major markets including the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Intercontinental Exchange, to a total of 243,198 contracts.
