Industrial Bank: Miran's entry into the Federal Reserve may have limited impact on the US dollar.
Aroop Chatterjee, strategist at the Bank of the Rich Country, said that Economic Advisors Committee Chairman Stephen Miran may not be able to attend Federal Open Market Committee meetings until December, so he may only attend two meetings before his term ends, which may limit his impact on the US dollar. "With the Senate adjourned until September, it is currently unclear when he will be able to join the Fed," Chatterjee said. "Even if the Senate acts quickly, the December FOMC meeting seems more practical than September or October. This means that Miran will essentially only be able to attend two meetings before his term ends."
