In the second quarter of 2025, China's current account surplus was 971.5 billion yuan, with a merchandise trade surplus of 157.51 billion yuan, a service trade deficit of 33.45 billion yuan, a primary income deficit of 29.78 billion yuan, and a secondary income surplus of 2.87 billion yuan. The capital and financial account (including the net errors and omissions for the quarter) had a deficit of 971.5 billion yuan, with net inflows of foreign direct investment to China.
