Ministry of National Defense responds to joint exercises by the Philippines and India near Huangyan Island.

According to reports, the Philippine military stated that the navies of the Philippines and India were conducting joint naval exercises near the Huangyan Island, with the aim of enhancing interoperability between the two militaries, and demonstrating support for the Philippines in its struggles against China. A spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense said: "We have always opposed provoking confrontations under the pretext of the South China Sea issue, and have always advocated that military cooperation among relevant countries should not target third parties and should not harm regional peace and stability. The Philippines is trying to court and align with foreign powers to make a show of strength, attempting to disrupt the regional situation and seize opportunities for profit, completely deviating from the shared aspirations of regional countries for peace, development, and stability. We demand that the Philippines cease provocations and stop forming alliances and causing trouble in the South China Sea, and return to the correct path of resolving differences through dialogue and negotiation."
