Hebei province has initiated level IV emergency response for flood control in cities such as Shijiazhuang.

According to the weather forecast, from daytime to nighttime today, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the southern part of Zhangjiakou, southern part of Chengde, Baoding, Xiong'an New Area, central and southern part of Langfang, Shijiazhuang, Cangzhou, Hengshui, and northern part of Xingtai. Among them, some areas in the eastern part of Baoding, Xiong'an New Area, Cangzhou, Hengshui, and other places may experience heavy rain, with some areas getting more than 220 millimeters of rainfall. Considering the current situation of river flooding, after comprehensive consultation and judgment, the Hebei Provincial Flood Control Headquarters decided to initiate a level IV emergency response at 11:00 on August 8 for Shijiazhuang, Chengde, Zhangjiakou, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Baoding, Cangzhou, Hengshui, Xingtai, Handan, and cities such as Dingzhou and Xinji. Langfang will maintain a level III emergency response, and Xiong'an New Area will maintain a level IV emergency response for flood control.
