American Airlines is resuming several pre-pandemic routes, including Prague in the Czech Republic and Budapest in Hungary. The current international travel demand is still higher than domestic. New routes also include the first non-stop flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Athens, Greece, and year-round non-stop service from Miami to Milan. In anticipation of the World Cup next year, American Airlines will also extend their routes from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Dallas, and from Dallas to Zurich, Switzerland where the FIFA headquarters is located. These flights will operate from May 21 to August 4, 2025, aiming to attract more business and sports tourism demand.
