At the performance briefing, Chairman Yang Jie of China Mobile mentioned that traditional communication needs are becoming saturated, the demographic dividend is gradually fading, and the total number of mobile phone users has reached 1.8 billion out of a population of 1.4 billion. Voice calls and text messages continue to decline, while data usage is in a stable growth period. New types of information services are still in the nurturing and development stage, such as AI, and it will take some time to generate income. Market competition is intensifying further, with many large data cards and low-priced data cards being sold online.
