Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other seven departments: Create high-performance products, accelerate the research and development breakthrough of implantable devices.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with six other departments, issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting Innovation and Development of Brain-Machine Interface Industry", which pointed out the need to create high-performance products, accelerate breakthroughs in the research and development of implantable devices. They aim to explore new products integrating high-density neural recording sensors and ultra-low-power implantable chips, innovate brain intent recognition functions, improve control accuracy and response speed. They will improve mature products such as unidirectional and bidirectional deep brain stimulators, reactive electric stimulators, cochlear implants, etc., enhance signal acquisition and functional control accuracy, and strengthen the effectiveness of neural stimulation. They promote the mass production iteration of non-implantable devices. They innovate product forms such as patch-type, earpiece-type, in-ear type, and headband-type, promoting the lightweight, high-speed, low-power development of non-implantable products. They develop integrated brain-machine interface products such as helmets, headsets, glasses, and headphones, integrate with existing consumer products, and support the iterative application and scale of non-implantable products. They will also develop auxiliary equipment, research and develop auxiliary physiological signal devices to enhance the precision of interactive control and sensory evaluation through the fusion of brain signals with electromyography, electrooculography, electrocardiography, near-infrared and other modal signals. They will develop high-precision surgical robots for implantable brain-machine interfaces, breakthrough sub-micron precision control and dynamic adjustment technology, and enhance regional precise real-time imaging and three-dimensional reconstruction capabilities.
