"Hubei Province Data Regulations" will be implemented from October 1st to promote more interconnected data. Hubei aims to break through a total data aggregation amount of over one hundred billion within the year.
On July 31st, the "Hubei Province Data Regulations" was passed at the 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hubei Provincial People's Congress and will be implemented from October 1, 2025. In terms of "aggregation," a comprehensive inventory of information systems and data resources of various regions and departments will be conducted, with the goal of aggregating data totaling over 100 billion items by the end of 2025. In terms of "sharing," efforts will be made to promote data interconnection and interoperability across levels, systems, and departments. In terms of "usage," cities like Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Yichang will lead in exploring public data authorization and operation. In terms of "management," efforts will be accelerated to build and implement a data standard system to enhance data security capabilities and management efficiency.
