In July 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China guided the national network reporting work departments and major website platforms to accept 18.731 million reports from internet users reporting illegal and harmful information such as pornography, gambling, infringement, and rumors. This represents a 1.3% increase from the previous month and a 1.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. Among them, the Cyberspace Administration of China's reporting center accepted 516,000 reports, an increase of 29.5% from the previous month and a 21.3% increase from the same period last year; local network reporting work departments accepted 621,000 reports, a decrease of 2.4% from the previous month and a decrease of 39.7% from the same period last year; major website platforms nationwide accepted 17.595 million reports, representing an increase of 0.8% from the previous month and a 0.04% increase from the same period last year.
