Processed foods may compromise weight loss results.
A recent study published in Nature Medicine suggests that a minimally processed diet may be more effective for weight loss and reducing the risk of cardiovascular metabolic diseases compared to a highly processed diet. A minimally processed diet, such as cooking food with raw ingredients at home, can more effectively reduce total fat, visceral fat, and triglyceride levels. Additionally, participants reported a significantly higher level of control over food cravings while on a minimally processed diet compared to a highly processed diet.
