Due to severe unrest, the President of Ecuador has declared a state of emergency in four provinces for 60 days.

Ecuadorian President Nuo signed a decree on August 6 declaring a state of emergency for 60 days in El Oro, Guayas, Los Ros, and Manab provinces due to severe internal unrest, effective immediately.
