Recently, the National Drug Centralized Purchasing Office issued a notice on the submission of demand for the eleventh batch of nationally organized drug centralized procurement by medical institutions, and the demand filling for the eleventh batch of drug centralized procurement by medical institutions will be carried out from August 6th to 25th. This batch of centralized procurement involves a total of 55 varieties, and the following characteristics are highlighted in the demand filling process: medical institutions can submit demand based on brand. This batch of centralized procurement has optimized the demand filling rules, allowing medical institutions to either report the demand for each variety by generic name without distinguishing brands, or specify the demand for specific brands, guiding enterprises with high recognition among medical institutions to actively participate. Medical institutions are required to report demand truthfully and accurately. Demand filling is the basic link of volume-based procurement, and in principle, each medical institution is required to report an annual demand for each variety not less than 80% of the average usage in 2023-2024. At the same time, for cases where there is a significant decrease in clinical demand due to factors such as obvious reduction in expected usage or business adjustments, medical institutions can provide a written explanation and report the actual demand accordingly.
