Focus Media Jiangnanchun: It is expected that "Touch It" will cover 2 million terminal devices within the year.
On August 6th, Focus Media and Alipay held a press conference in Shanghai, jointly launching an innovative "touch to grab red envelopes" model based on elevator scenes. Currently, this model is being rolled out in elevators in more than 20 cities across the country including Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. "This strategic partnership forms a perfect O2O closed loop, with Focus Media's millions of terminals transformed into digital service points, creating quantifiable offline-to-online interactions, which is an important upgrade to Focus Media's commercial capabilities," said Jiang Nanchun, founder and chairman of Focus Media. In a media interview including with The Paper, Jiang Nanchun revealed that Focus Media currently has 3 million terminal devices, and in the past month, 400,000 terminals have been updated to support "touch to grab red envelopes", with the goal of covering 2 million terminals by the end of the year. This is also the first time that Alipay's "touch to grab" feature has been introduced in elevator scenes. Through this, Focus Media is building a new interactive gateway connecting consumers and commercial resources.
