European chip stocks fell due to negative news from American companies, weak performance by Asian peers, and uncertainty over tariffs. The UBS semiconductor index, composed of European chip stocks, dropped 1.9% to its lowest level in three months. Nordic Semi fell 6% and Infineon dropped 3.3%. Other declining stocks include STMicroelectronics, wafer manufacturer Soitec, and chip equipment manufacturers ASML and ASM International.
