Iraqi Federal Oil Minister Abdul Ghani Minister stated that the Iraqi federal government has reached an agreement with the Kurdistan Region, and the semi-autonomous region will begin transferring crude oil to the Iraqi national oil marketing company SOMO for export. Kurdistan's oil exports have been stalled for nearly two and a half years since March 2023 due to disputes over export authorization. Although there have been some breakthroughs in negotiations in recent months, disagreements still persist.
