Institution: The British economy is expected to rebound in June.
Elliott Jordan-Duk of Pantheon Macroeconomics wrote in a report that the UK economy is expected to rebound in the second quarter, thanks to the recovery of the manufacturing sector and pleasant summer weather. The organization predicts that after an unexpected decline in GDP in May, it will grow by 0.2% in June. Jordan-Duk stated that car production is expected to bounce back after some weakness related to tariffs, and the construction industry should have a strong month. Meanwhile, the services sector, especially the hospitality industry, is expected to rebound due to summer, with people flocking to bars and restaurants. The GDP data for June and the second quarter of the UK will be released on August 14th.
