Fashion jewelry and accessories manufacturer Claire's filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States on Wednesday, marking the company's second bankruptcy filing since 2018. Claire's listed its estimated assets and liabilities between $1 billion and $10 billion in documents submitted to the Delaware bankruptcy court. The retailer, backed by Elliott Management Corporation and Monarch Alternative Capital, operates over 2,750 stores in 17 countries in North America and Europe, according to its website.
