China Iron and Steel Association: By late July, the key statistics of steel inventories in steel enterprises amounted to 14.78 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%.
In the latter part of July, the China Iron and Steel Association focused on statistics of steel companies showing a steel inventory of 14.78 million tons, a decrease of 0.88 million tons compared to the previous decade, down 5.6%; an increase of 2.41 million tons compared to the beginning of the year, an increase of 19.5%; a decrease of 0.67 million tons compared to the same month last month, down 4.3%; a decrease of 1.27 million tons compared to the same month last year, down 7.9%, and an increase of 0.29 million tons compared to the same month two years ago, up 2.0%. Among the six major regions, apart from the increase in steel inventory of key accounting companies in North China and northwest China compared to the previous decade, and relatively stable in the southwest region, other regions have seen varying degrees of decline.
