Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced on August 5th local time that he is pleased to introduce OpenAI's GPT-oss model into Azure's "AI Applications and Intelligent Agent Factory" AI Foundry, and to bring it to the Windows platform through Foundry Local. Nadella stated that this is a practical application of mixed AI: users can flexibly combine different models to optimize performance and cost, and process data directly where it is located. Earlier that day, OpenAI released two open-weight AI models, GPT-oss-120b and GPT-oss-20b.
