Zambia and Malawi have been listed by the United States as countries requiring visa bonds.
According to the latest notice published on the official website of the Consular Affairs Office of the U.S. Department of State on the 5th, the United States will require a maximum security deposit of up to $15,000 for business and tourism visa applicants from the African countries of Zambia and Malawi. The U.S. Department of State launched a 12-month pilot program on the 4th to require security deposits from certain countries' business and tourism visa applicants. According to the notice issued on the 5th, the program will be implemented starting on the 20th and will remain in effect until August 5, 2026.
