According to the report from Iran's Fars News Agency on the 5th, Ali Larjani, advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, has been appointed as the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. The report states that Iranian President Pezeshkian has ordered the appointment of Larjani as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and his predecessor, Ahmadiyan, may be responsible for handling some "special strategic affairs" of Iran. Larjani has previously served as the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and is currently a senior advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and a member of Iran's Expediency Council.
