The Regional Economic Report for 2025 released by the Lagja Economic Commission, with the economic growth forecast revised down to 2.2%.
On August 5th local time, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) released the 2025 regional economic report at its headquarters in Santiago, Chile. It is forecasted that economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean will slow down in 2025, dropping from 2.3% in 2024 to 2.2%. Economic growth is expected to rise again to 2.3% in 2026. The average annual growth rate for the Latin America and Caribbean region from 2016 to 2025 was only 1.2%.
