On Tuesday, President Trump said that the two largest banks in the United States had previously refused to provide services to him. Trump, in an interview, said that JPMorgan Chase had informed him that he had 20 days to transfer "hundreds of millions of dollars in cash" to another bank. He did not specify when this occurred. Trump said that he later contacted Bank of America to "deposit over a billion dollars" but was told that the bank could not provide him with an account. "(Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan) said, 'We can't do it,'" Trump said. "So I went to one bank after another. Finally, I had to go to small banks all over. I mean, I would put $10 million here, $10 million there." Trump mentioned his businesses on Tuesday (possibly referring to his real estate and hotel group), but it is not clear whether the events he described were related to personal accounts, business accounts, or both. "The discrimination against me by these banks is very severe, and I've always been very good to the banks," Trump said.
