On August 5 at around 19:00, it was learned from the Guangdong Maritime Bureau that due to the widespread rainfall, the water levels of rivers in Guangdong Province have risen rapidly. In order to prevent risks to water traffic safety, maritime departments in Guangdong have implemented navigation restrictions and controls on affected river sections and ships. As of 17:00 on the 5th, a total of 41 navigation routes have been suspended, with 161 ships halted.
