The Ministry of Civil Affairs held a TV and telephone conference on the afternoon of the 4th to further improve the flood prevention work of national elderly care institutions, reorganize, rearrange, and oversee the flood prevention work of national elderly care institutions. The meeting emphasized the importance of "prevention first", strengthening emergency response mechanisms, improving emergency plans, enhancing cooperation with local emergency departments, prioritizing elderly care institutions in rescue efforts, and including them in the overall flood prevention material reserves and distribution range in their respective areas. It is necessary to strengthen emergency response readiness, implement a 24-hour duty system, strictly adhere to information reporting requirements, ensure smooth communication and efficient response. It is crucial to solidify the safety foundation of elderly care institutions, strengthen classification management, and for rural and underutilized asset converted elderly care institutions with weak basic conditions, increase investment, internal management, risk prevention, and improve essential safety.
