The Nifty 50 index of the National Stock Exchange of India fell by 0.3%, with Reliance Industries leading the decline.
In the Mumbai market, the National Stock Exchange Nifty 50 index fell by 0.3%, closing at 24,649.55 points. The index had risen by 0.6% in the previous trading day. Reliance Industries Limited had the biggest decline in the index, falling by 1.4%. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited had the largest decline, falling by 2.2%. Today, out of the 50 constituent stocks, 25 went down and 25 went up. The index has risen by 2.5% in the past 52 weeks. Meanwhile, the Morgan Stanley Capital International Asia Pacific Index has risen by 24% during the same period. The index is down 6.2% from its 52-week high on September 27, 2024, but up by 13.4% from its low on April 7, 2025.
