Starting from September 1st, Sichuan's maternity allowance will be directly distributed to individuals.

According to the Sichuan Medical Security Bureau, recently, the Sichuan Provincial Medical Security Bureau issued a notice on "Adjusting the Application and Payment Methods for Maternity Allowances for Employees." Starting from September 1, 2025, insured employees eligible for maternity allowances will be able to apply for them themselves or through authorized representatives. The medical insurance agency will directly distribute the maternity allowances to the insured employee according to the procedures.
