The Central Meteorological Observatory continues to issue a blue alert for severe convective weather at 10:00 on August 5th.

It is expected that from 14:00 on August 5 to 14:00 on August 6, some areas in eastern Inner Mongolia, southern and northeastern regions, southern North China, northern Huang-Huai region, central-southern South China, etc. will experience severe thunderstorms with wind speeds of over 8 on the Beaufort scale or hailstorms. In some areas of eastern Qinghai, eastern Inner Mongolia, southern and northeastern regions, southern North China, northern Huang-Huai region, eastern Sichuan Basin, and central-southern South China, there will be short-term heavy rainfall with hourly precipitation exceeding 20 millimeters. In areas including southern Liaoning, southern Hebei, northern and eastern Shandong, northern and central-western Henan, eastern Sichuan Basin, southeastern Guangxi, and central Guangdong, some areas may experience hourly rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters, with the maximum reaching over 70 millimeters. It is expected that the main impact of severe convective weather will occur from this afternoon to tonight.
