Due to the smoke from mountain fires, the air quality in Toronto, Canada has once again become one of the worst in the world.
On August 4, the Canadian Department of the Environment stated that due to the smoke from wildfires, air quality and visibility in most of the southern parts of Ontario fluctuated drastically in a short period of time, with significant differences between each hour. This statement also applies to the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto and more than ten surrounding cities. Toronto issued a special air quality statement for the third consecutive day, declaring Toronto as one of the cities with the most severe air pollution in the world.
