London stock market rises on the 4th day.
On July 4, the FTSE 100 index in London closed at 9128.30, up 59.72 points from the previous trading day, a 0.66% increase. All three major European stock indexes rose on that day. Among individual stocks, banking stocks led the gains, with Lloyd's Banking Group up 9.00%, St James's Place Financial Investment Company up 4.24%, Endeavour Mining Corporation up 3.76%, London Stock Exchange Group up 3.46%, and National Westminster Bank Group up 3.17% ranking in the top five in terms of gains. On the other hand, service stocks were among the top five decliners, with Haleon from the Consumer Health Company down 2.63%, the commercial cleaning company Nando-Je Company down 2.02%, the fashion retailer Next down 1.74%, Spirex Group down 1.68%, and chemical company Croda International down 1.41%.
