The Ministry of Water Resources launched a level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Tianjin on the evening of the 4th. According to the forecast, due to heavy rain on the 4th, the Jiyun Canal and its tributaries, Zhihou River and Qiuhe River in Tianjin, will experience rising water levels, while the Chaobainxin River will maintain a large flow for flood control.
