Active users on ChatGPT will reach 700 million this week, a fourfold increase from last year.
OpenAI announced on Monday that the number of weekly active users of its ChatGPT will reach 700 million this week, an increase from 500 million in March. This marks a more than fourfold increase in its user base year over year. The company stated that this data includes all of ChatGPT's artificial intelligence products, including the free version, Plus Pro version, enterprise version, team version, and education version, with daily user message volume exceeding 3 billion. The current growth rate is accelerating compared to a 2.5 times year-over-year growth rate at the same period last year. As more businesses and educational institutions integrate artificial intelligence tools, the number of paid commercial users of OpenAI's ChatGPT has increased from 3 million in June to 5 million. OpenAI's annual recurrent revenue has grown from $10 billion in June to $13 billion, and the company is expected to surpass $20 billion by the end of the year.
