High temperatures persist, with 140 counties, cities, and districts in Henan reaching a maximum temperature of 37 or higher today.

According to the monitoring data from the Henan Provincial Meteorological Observatory, from 7:00 to 17:00 on August 4th, most areas south of the Yellow River experienced temperatures above 37C, with the highest temperatures exceeding 40C in some areas including Nanyang, Xinyang, Zhumadian, and Luoyang. A total of 140 counties and 1336 monitoring stations reported temperatures equal to or greater than 37C, with 47 counties and 120 stations reporting temperatures over 40C.
