Investor sentiment in the Eurozone is low, causing the Euro to fall.
The Euro fell, as an important survey showed that investor confidence in the Eurozone dropped significantly in August due to disappointment over the US-EU trade agreement. The Sentix Investor Confidence Index for the Eurozone in August dropped from 4.5 in July to -3.7. Manfred Hubner, managing director of Sentix, said at the survey release conference: "Investors are not convinced by the latest tariff agreement between the EU and the US." The agreement includes a 15% tariff on the EU. He stated that with the increasing pressure facing export-oriented industries, the Eurozone's ability to overcome economic downturn is once again being questioned.
