China Merchants Bank (03968.HK): Tian Hongqi resigns as independent non-executive director.

Wisdom Financial News APP, China Merchants Bank (03968.HK) announced that the Board of Directors has received the resignation letter from Mr. Tian Hongqi, an independent non-executive director of the company. Mr. Tian Hongqi resigned from his position as an independent non-executive director after serving for more than six years, and also resigned from the position of Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee and member of the Board's Related Party Transactions Management and Consumer Rights Protection Committee. According to relevant laws and regulations and the Articles of Association of China Merchants Bank Limited, Mr. Tian Hongqi's resignation will take effect after the election of a new independent non-executive director by the company's shareholders' meeting and the approval of the new independent non-executive director's qualification by the China Banking Regulatory Commission to fill the vacancy. Before that, Mr. Tian Hongqi will continue to perform the duties of an independent non-executive director and member of the Board's specialized committees in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and the Articles of Association of China Merchants Bank Limited.
