Citi analysts stated after attending the 2025 China International Digital Interactive Entertainment Expo held in Shanghai that the increased enthusiasm at the latest gaming expo suggests that the Chinese gaming industry will continue to recover. These analysts indicated that with the normalization of regulatory environment, stable competitive landscape, and improvement in game content quality, this year's expo had a larger crowd compared to last year, and players were more enthusiastic. Citi mentioned that NetEase showcased new games including "Forgotten Sea" and "Destiny: Rising", indicating that its release schedule for the second half of the year may accelerate. Citi also stated that Tencent's mobile game "Unyielding Contract" was highly popular at the expo, and its release later this month may be successful.
