The Beijing Mentougou District Meteorological Bureau upgraded and issued a red rainstorm warning signal at 9:15 am on August 4th. After comprehensive analysis of flood, geological disaster meteorological risk, mountain flood disaster risk, waterlogging risk and other warning levels, development trends and degree of hazards, the Mentougou District upgraded and launched a level one flood control emergency response at 9:15 am on August 4th. All relevant units are requested to implement rain prevention and response measures according to the plan, closely monitor the localized short-term heavy rainfall process, and carry out flood prevention related work. Defense guidelines: Please stay indoors if not necessary, and call 110 or 119 for help in case of emergency. Enterprises and institutions should not require employees to go to work except for maintaining city operation and livelihood services. Schools should stop offline teaching and outdoor teaching activities, and training institutions should stop offline training activities. Visits to mountainous and waterside areas, as well as tourist attractions, parks, forest areas, and folk villages, are prohibited. People living in bungalows, old and dangerous buildings, low-lying courtyards, and basement should pay close attention to the risk of rainwaterlogging and take timely precautions. All underground operating premises should be closed, and construction sites should be shut down. People threatened by disaster risks should follow evacuation arrangements.
