Tencent's Hong Kong stock rose more than 2%, with the release date of "Fearless Pact" mobile game expected to bring performance catalyst.
Tencent Holdings rose 2.1% in midday trading on Monday. The mobile game "Fearless Contract: Energy Action", developed by Tencent's game studio in collaboration with Riot Games, was officially announced to be released on August 19th. The full name of the mobile game, based on the IP of the "Fearless Contract" PC game, is "Fearless Contract: Energy Action". Tencent announced in April that the number of concurrent players in the Chinese version of Fearless Contract had exceeded 2 million.
Investment bank Furuizhi stated that the release of the Fearless Contract mobile game is a positive signal for Tencent, with estimated annual revenue expected to exceed 6 billion yuan. They remain optimistic about Tencent's gaming prospects. Tencent's Hong Kong-listed shares have risen by about 30% so far this year. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose nearly 1% in early trading.
