Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vietnamese electric car manufacturer VinFast in Asia, said on Monday that the company is in talks with multiple component manufacturers to source more components from India. Speaking at the inauguration of the company's factory in the southern city of Tuticorin, India, Chau said that VinFast is in discussions with some existing component suppliers, some of whom are interested in shifting some of their production to industrial parks in India. "We have also received inquiries from a Vietnamese manufacturer who wants to shift their plastic production business to support our car projects," he added. However, he did not disclose the name of the company considering the shift.
