Fatalities in the Yemeni waters migrant boat overturned incident rise to 68 people.

Health officials from the Yemeni government said on August 3 that the capsizing of a boat carrying African immigrants in the southern waters of Yemen on the evening of August 2 has resulted in 68 deaths, with 74 people still missing. The head of the health department in the capital of Abiyang Province, Jizibar City, Abdul Qader Bajamir, stated that rescuers have recovered 68 bodies of the victims in the waters near Abiyang Province. Earlier in the day, rescuers also saved 12 survivors and took them to the hospital for emergency treatment. Some of the survivors are in critical condition due to prolonged exposure to seawater and extreme fatigue.
