According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first half of the year, China's internet business revenue accelerated growth, while the total profit continued to decrease, and research and development expenses steadily increased. Internet and related service enterprises above a certain scale achieved internet business revenue of 961.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, an increase of 2.2 percentage points from the previous five months; total profit reached 74.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.3%, expanding by 6.1 percentage points from the previous five months. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region maintained a fast-growing momentum in internet business revenue. In the first half of the year, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region achieved internet business revenue of 331 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, accounting for 34.4% of the national internet business revenue. The Yangtze River Delta region achieved internet business revenue of 312.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, accounting for 32.5% of the national internet business revenue.
