Sudanese Armed Forces accuse foreign mercenaries of attacking a city in western Sudan.
According to CCTV News, the Sudanese Armed Forces issued a statement on the 3rd claiming that on the 1st and 2nd of this month, they repelled a large-scale attack on the capital of North Darfur State, Fashir, by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces. The statement said that the attack was organized by the Rapid Support Forces, but the attackers were foreign mercenaries, the majority of whom were from Colombia. The Sudanese Armed Forces inflicted heavy losses on the attackers in terms of personnel and equipment. The Rapid Support Forces and the Colombian side have not responded to the incident.
