Foreign investors' net purchases of the South Korean benchmark index in July reached a 17-month high.

Data released by the South Korean stock exchange on Sunday showed that foreign investors purchased a net amount of 6.28 trillion Korean won in stocks in the benchmark index - the Korea Composite Stock Price Index in July, setting a record for the highest net purchase in a single month since February 2023. The net purchase amount in February 2023 was 7.858 trillion Korean won. The net purchase amount in July was 2.3 times that of June.
