Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors Responds to Dragon Truck Collision Test
According to the public account "Chenglong Truck", on July 31, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. issued a statement regarding the infringement of a certain brand's use of collision videos:
1. Infringement Facts Determination: The illegal publication of the infringement video by a certain car brand on July 29, 2025, showing a front collision with the Chenglong truck, has constituted a serious infringement and goes beyond the scope of normal business competition, seriously misleading and damaging the public's right to know. This has brought significant negative impacts on our brand and business reputation, and is suspected of violating relevant laws such as the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, Advertising Law, and the Civil Code. The certain car brand used specific scenario testing, which has significant differences from actual operating scenarios. As of now, our understanding is that the certain car brand did not disclose the condition of the test vehicle, scene environment, and by customizing collision conditions, designed specific unconventional test scenarios, resulting in a collision video with major deviations from the normal collision results recognized by the public. This not only tarnishes our brand image but also could potentially mislead vehicle owners and pose safety risks.
2. Chenglong Brand Technology Description: Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, as a state-owned enterprise with a 71-year history, has always been user-oriented, and Chenglong truck's safety system strictly follows the principle of "real scene protection": the industry's first dragon bone frame cabin; adopting a four-layer energy absorption structure, dispersing collision energy through multi-channel conduction patented technology to maximize driver and passenger safety; active safety dual defense lines: AEBS automatic emergency braking system + cabin rearward movement technology, effectively reducing accident casualties.
3. To the industry and card user friends: Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, as a state-owned enterprise, actively responds to the calls from government departments and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers to resist internal competition, anti-unfair competition, and firmly opposes any behavior that damages the industry ecology through disparaging competitors or malicious comparisons, in order to promote a fair and orderly market environment. We call on industry colleagues to jointly practice: Safety first: Strictly abide by traffic regulations, regularly maintain vehicles, and enhance proactive prevention awareness - this is more effective than any testing in strengthening safety precautions! Integrity competition: Adhere to business ethics, drive industry progress through technological innovation and quality improvement, and jointly maintain a healthy and sustainable industry ecology! Rational communication: Do not exaggerate or chase after popularity, do not be tempted by traffic; do not be exploited by certain brands to amplify their influence.
4. Follow-up accountability: We are highly concerned about this matter and will continue to monitor the situation. With a professional, rigorous, and responsible attitude, we will establish a special team for further research and reserve the right to pursue legal responsibility for the impact of this incident.
