Ministry of Finance: The preliminary budget for childcare subsidies and allowances this year is approximately 90 billion yuan.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on July 30th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference, where Vice Director of the National Health Commission Guo Yanhong, along with officials from the Ministry of Finance, the National Healthcare Security Administration, and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, introduced the childcare subsidy system and related measures to support childbirth, and answered questions from reporters. Wang Haidong, Director of the Population and Family Department of the National Health Commission, stated that according to the work plan, various regions will gradually open the application for childcare subsidies at the end of August, and all regions will fully open the application for childcare subsidies before August 31st.
