National Federation of Trade Unions Liu Hongmei: Support employers to provide childcare services and provide financial support.

On July 30, Liu Hongmei, the Director of the Women Workers Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, stated at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office that in order to solve the difficulty of taking care of children and help promote employer-sponsored childcare and talent development, from 2022 to 2024, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, in conjunction with the National Health Commission, will carry out a national recommendation and application program for loving childcare employer-sponsored units for three consecutive years, distributing a total of 22.5 million yuan to subsidize 300 loving childcare employer-sponsored units. This year, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions has made specific arrangements to promote employer-sponsored childcare, adhere to targeted measures, support suitable government agencies, enterprises, and other employer-sponsored units in establishing childcare services. In terms of financial support, it is clarified that the necessary expenses for employers to provide childcare services for their employees' children can be allocated from employee welfare funds according to regulations, and the employers' trade union funds can be appropriately supplemented.
