At a press conference, Deputy Director Liu Jia of the Foreigners Management Department of the National Immigration Administration stated, "During the period of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the number of international talents permanently residing in China has significantly increased, and a group of international high-level scientific and technological talents are developing long-term in our country." In the next step, the National Immigration Administration will continue to deepen the reform and innovation of immigration management policies, actively cooperate with relevant departments to improve relevant system designs, enhance the compatibility of immigration management systems with national industrial development planning, provide more systematic, comprehensive, convenient, and efficient support for the immigration management policies of international high-tech talents coming to work and live in China, and inject greater momentum into the high-quality economic and social development.
