During the 14th Five-Year Period, various types of cross-border illegal crimes have been declining year by year.
Wang Zhizhong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security and Director of the National Immigration Administration, introduced at the "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" series themed press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 30 that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, nationwide public security organs and immigration management agencies have investigated and handled more than 15,000 cases of crimes that interfere with border management, arrested more than 322,000 criminal suspects, dismantled 7,648 criminal syndicates, and various cross-border illegal crimes such as guns, drugs, gambling, and smuggling have been decreasing year by year.
