National Bureau of Statistics: In the first half of 2025, the operating income of cultural and related industries enterprises above designated size nationwide increased by 7.4% year-on-year.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on July 30th, the National Bureau of Statistics issued a document stating that, based on a survey of over 80,000 cultural and related industry enterprises nationwide (referred to as "cultural enterprises"), in the first half of 2025, cultural enterprises achieved operating income of 7,129.2 billion yuan, which, when calculated on a comparable basis, represented a 7.4% increase from the same period last year. Among them, 16 subcategories of industries with more prominent characteristics of new cultural formats achieved operating income of 3,156.4 billion yuan, a 13.6% increase from the same period last year, which was 6.2 percentage points higher than all scale above cultural enterprises.
